Buddy Guy ist der große Gewinner bei den diesjährigen Bluesmusic-Awards. Bei der Preisverleihung in Memphis hat er am Donnerstag gleich fünf der begehrten Auszeichnungen erhalten. Darunter ist das Album des Jahres für seine Scheibe "Living Proof" und die als Entertainer des Jahres.
Living Proof wurde außerdem als bestes zeitgenössisches Album, der Titelsong als Song des Jahres und Guy selbst als Contemporary Blues Male Artist of the Year gewürdigt.
